Because no one should walk this journey alone.

Whether you’re looking for encouragement, friendship, practical support, or simply a place where your family is understood, our Community Gatherings are designed to create meaningful opportunities to connect with others who share similar experiences.

Some gatherings are educational. Others are creative. Some are simply a chance to enjoy coffee, conversation, or a campfire with people who understand. However you join us, our hope is the same: that you’ll leave feeling encouraged, connected, and reminded that you don’t have to do this alone.

Virtual & In-Person Support Groups

Real conversations. Shared experiences. A community that understands.

Being a caregiver for a loved one with special needs can feel isolating at times—but you don’t have to face it alone. Connect with a compassionate community of parents from the comfort of your own home through our new virtual support group!

These peer-led groups offer a safe and supportive environment to share your experiences, gain valuable insights, and build meaningful connections with others who truly understand your journey. No matter where you are, support is just a click away.

When: Our goal is to provide options for groups to meet weekly and monthly, virtually and in person. Currently, we are gathering info on what day/time works best for those interested. (See interest form below.) The next step will be to establish each group, set a schedule, and LAUNCH!
Where: Virtually via Zoom + In Person

Monthly Book Club

Good books. Meaningful conversations. New connections.

Monthly Book Club is a welcoming space for parents to slow down, connect, and grow together through shared reading and conversation. The group collaborates in choosing the topics and authors that resonate most with their real-life experiences, creating meaningful discussions that inform, encourage, and remind parents they are not alone on the journey.

Casual Meet-ups

No agenda. No pressure. Just people connecting.

Casual Meet-Ups offer relaxed opportunities for parents to connect over coffee or a shared meal, creating space for conversation, encouragement, and genuine community without an agenda—just time together with people who understand.

Morning Mugs

Coffee. Conversation. Community.

Sometimes you don’t need another presentation. You just need coffee and people who understand.

Morning Mugs are casual coffee meetups where caregivers can step away from the to-do list, grab a cup, and connect with others walking a similar road.

There is no agenda to conquer and no expectation to have the right words. Just conversation, encouragement, laughter, and the chance to discover a few new familiar faces.

Come for the coffee. Stay for the community.

Firepit Fridays

A place for dads to gather, talk, laugh, and belong.

Fatherhood can carry its own set of questions, pressures, and experiences, yet dads don’t always have spaces where they can simply be themselves.

Firepit Fridays creates that space.

Around the fire, dads can swap stories, share what is working, talk about what isn’t, laugh about the wonderfully unpredictable parts of family life, and build friendships that continue long after the fire goes out.

No formal program. No pressure to share.

Just good conversation, real connection, and a place at the fire.

Paint & Pour

A night for moms to put down the to-do list and pick up a paintbrush.

Paint & Pour is a relaxed evening created just for moms, offering a little space to breathe, create, laugh, and connect with other women who understand the beautifully complicated world of caregiving.

No art experience required. No expectations. No need to have it all together. Just a creative evening, good conversation, and a chance to do something simply because you enjoy it.

Come paint. Come pour. Come connect.

You deserve a seat at the table, too.

Groove Gathering

Find the beat. Find your people.

What happens when an entire community finds its rhythm?

Rhythm & Belonging brings families, caregivers, volunteers, and community members together through inclusive drumming experiences that turn rhythm into connection.

Inspired by the heart of SPECdrum, these gatherings make space for people of different abilities, communication styles, and sensory needs to participate in ways that work for them.

No musical experience required.

Just bring your hands, your ears, your curiosity, and your willingness to make a little noise together.

Every beat matters.

The Village Table

There is always room for one more.

A shared meal has a way of turning strangers into neighbors.

The Village Table gathers families and community members around a table where everyone is welcome. Over a meal, conversations happen naturally, children are celebrated, caregivers can exhale, and relationships have room to grow.

This isn’t a dinner with a program attached.

The table is the program.

Come hungry. Leave a little more connected.

Refill Retreats

You spend so much time pouring out. This is time to refill.

Caregiving asks a great deal of the people who give it. Refill Retreats create intentional opportunities for caregivers to pause, breathe, reconnect with themselves, and receive care rather than simply providing it.

Held quarterly, these restorative gatherings offer space for reflection, creativity, connection, and renewal in an environment where caregivers don’t have to explain why they need a break.

You don’t have to arrive exhausted to belong here.

Come refill before the tank is empty.
